What course should I enrol onto so I can start teaching?
Many of our students work in salons, spas, fitness centres and colleges that want to teach within the sector they work in. The first question we are asked is " what course or workshop should I enrol onto so I can teach training courses?"
We recommend the Award in Education and Training level 3(previously PTLLS) if you want to teach your own or short courses.
For those that want to assess occupational standards, we recommend the assessors qualification. The qualification will enable you to assess against standards in the workplace.
Our accredited training courses are delivered in your workplace, local training centres and distance learning. All courses are suited to meet individual needs.
We encourage all students to progress onto higher level courses once the level 3 has been achieved.
VTCT Awarding body and Accredited Qualifications
Vocational Training Charitable Trust (VTCT) is a specialist awarding and assessment organisation. This means they develop world-class vocational and technical qualifications in a range of service sectors. All qualifications are delivered via over 2,000 approved centres globally with an ever-expanding list of centres throughout the UK and Ireland, with increasing international presence.
Approaches to Learning
Our courses are delivered one to one, in a small group or by distance learning. All courses are delivered by expert tutors that have many years in the hair, beauty, fitness and education industries. We are supportive and encourage all students to complete the course within targets set.
Learning and development workshops
DB Training offer workshops for teams and individuals that do not require an accredited qualification but need help and guidance when planning and supporting staff or customers to teach and encourage learning and development. The workshops are one day, and they cover areas including planning, support, building confidence within the team, and training.
